Experience You Can Trust, Change You Can See

Experience You Can Trust, Change You Can See

Real Leadership Rooted in Service, Not Politics.

For over 20 years, I’ve had the honor of serving as a city constable in Birmingham. That role isn’t flashy, but it’s essential. I’ve been the one knocking on doors in tense situations, deescalating conflict, serving court orders with respect, and offering guidance when families found themselves in crisis. I’ve seen the cracks in the system—and I’ve done everything in my power to fill them. But I’ve also seen how much more we can do if we have the right people in the right seats at City Hall.

At the same time, I’ve built and run a group home—one that serves people society often leaves behind. Individuals overcoming addiction, leaving incarceration, or simply trying to get back on their feet come through my doors. In that space, I manage staff, create structure, maintain budgets, handle compliance, and—most importantly—offer people a path forward. It’s not easy work, but it’s necessary, and it’s deeply personal to me.

This blend of public service and hands-on care has prepared me for this moment.

Being a city councilmember isn’t just about sitting in meetings and casting votes. It’s about managing people, listening to concerns, solving problems, and stretching limited resources to meet urgent needs. It’s about showing up—consistently and compassionately. I’ve done that for decades.

What sets me apart is that I’ve lived the issues we’re trying to fix. I know what it’s like to help someone find shelter at midnight. I know how it feels to fight for resources that should already be available. I know the pressure of payroll, the complexity of running a business, and the responsibility of keeping people safe. I’ve built trust in this community not by asking for it—but by earning it.

District One deserves more than promises. It deserves proven leadership with a heart for the people and a history of getting things done. My campaign is about bringing that experience to the council, where it can make a bigger impact—for our seniors, our youth, our business owners, and every resident who wants to see real, visible change.

We don’t need another politician who disappears after Election Day. We need someone who shows up when it matters most—and who’s already been doing the work all along.
