District One Deserves a Voice That Listens

Too many people in District One feel unheard. I’ve spent my career being present in people’s lives—not behind a desk, but in neighborhoods, homes, and courtrooms. Whether I’m resolving disputes as a constable or offering support through my group home, I’ve learned the power of listening. As your city councilwoman, I will make sure your concerns are not only heard but acted on. Every street, every family, every voice matters. That’s the kind of representation District One deserves.

Every Voice Matters in District One—And It’s Time City Hall Started Listening

I keep hearing the same thing: “No one is listening.” They’ve spoken up about broken sidewalks, rising crime, neglected neighborhoods, and lack of investment—but their concerns often fall on deaf ears. That silence from city leadership doesn’t just frustrate people—it erodes trust, discourages civic engagement, and deepens the divide between the people and the policies that affect their daily lives.

I understand that frustration. I’ve lived it, and I’ve walked beside it. My career hasn’t been spent behind a desk or in political meetings. It’s been spent with people—in homes, in neighborhoods, in courtrooms, and in crisis. As a constable for over two decades, I’ve resolved disputes, stood with families during tough transitions, and offered a listening ear when no one else would. Through my group home, I’ve provided structure, support, and second chances to individuals who needed a hand, not a lecture.

That work taught me one thing above all: real leadership shows up. It listens. It responds. And it follows through.

As your city councilwoman, I will bring that same spirit of presence and accountability to City Hall. I won’t just wait for residents to come to me—I’ll go to them. I’ll host regular community meetings, be available to answer questions and take calls, and ensure that city resources are being fairly distributed across all parts of our district—not just the most visible or politically convenient areas.

My promise is this: your concerns will not be ignored. Whether you’re a small business owner on Center Point Parkway, a senior in Killough Springs, a young mother in Apple Valley, or a student with a vision for your future—you matter. Your voice will shape the decisions I make. Every street, every family, every story deserves to be seen and heard.

District One deserves more than excuses and empty promises. We deserve representation that walks the talk—literally. It’s time to turn complaints into conversations, and conversations into change.

Let’s build a District One where everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered.
