Building Back Lives—and a Stronger Birmingham
In my group home, I help people rebuild. That means teaching accountability, finding resources, connecting to jobs, and offering consistency—day in and day out. These are the same tools we need at a city level.
I want to take what I’ve learned and apply it to the broader needs of District One. We need economic development that reaches all neighborhoods, job training programs that meet people where they are, and city services that uplift—not punish—those facing hard times. I’ve been doing this work one life at a time. On the council, I’ll do it for our entire community.
From the Front Lines to City Hall: Ready to Serve
For over 20 years, I’ve served this city—not from behind a desk, but on the ground, where real people face real challenges every day. As a city constable and group home owner, I’ve worked on the front lines of our community, showing up when others didn’t. I’ve witnessed the struggles of everyday families, heard the frustrations of residents who feel forgotten, and stepped in where city services have fallen short.
Now, I’m ready to take that firsthand experience to City Hall—and fight for the changes District One deserves.
Here’s why my background makes me uniquely qualified to serve as your next city councilwoman:
🔹 A Lifetime of Public Service
I’ve spent more than two decades as a constable in Birmingham, helping resolve neighborhood disputes, serving legal documents, and keeping peace in difficult situations. I’ve built trust one doorstep at a time, and I understand the laws, systems, and city departments that need reform.
🔹 Real-World Problem Solving
Running a group home has given me the experience of managing staff, coordinating services, budgeting resources, and helping vulnerable individuals navigate recovery, reentry, and independence. These are the same skills needed to manage city issues—only now, I want to serve on a broader scale.
🔹 A Deep Understanding of Community Needs
I’ve worked with residents facing eviction, job loss, violence, and addiction. I’ve seen how broken policies impact everyday lives—and I’ve also seen the power of compassion, structure, and consistency. I’ll bring that insight to every council vote I cast.
🔹 Committed to Accountability and Access
You won’t have to wonder where your councilwoman is. I’ll hold regular town halls, respond to residents personally, and bring City Hall to your doorstep. Representation should be accessible—and I’ll prove that every day in office.
🔹 Focused on Results, Not Politics
This campaign isn’t about titles—it’s about transformation. I’m not here to play political games; I’m here to deliver results: safer neighborhoods, better infrastructure, stronger youth programs, and economic opportunities that reach every part of District One.
I’ve already been serving our community. Now, I’m ready to lead it—officially.
If you’re ready for leadership that shows up, listens, and delivers—then I’m asking for your vote. Let’s take everything I’ve done on the front lines, and bring it to the policy table at City Hall.
